I too struggle with social anxiety and thankfully God has bought me a very long way. I have struggled with social anxiety for as long as I have been social. It stinks. The big problem is that it keeps us from the community we need and crave and it buries us in fear and anxiety until we have isolated ourselves and built walls to protect us from unseen threats.
So much of the encouragement and growth we need and crave in this life will come from the Father but through others. We NEED people and community. So how can we press through the social phobias to make the connections we crave?

This is still a hard topic for me to address. I feel an obligation to speak on it due to the fact that 1 in 4 women have experienced miscarriage or infant loss. 1 in 4 and yet no one seems to talk about it. When life becomes too much, how do we reconcile that with that familiar phrase?
God won’t give us more than we can handle…right?

There is no verse in Scripture, at least none that I have found, that backs up this common claim.
I am not sure about whether or not God gives you more than you can handle, but I am confident that life indeed hands out more we can deal with in our strength.
So what do we do when life hands us more than we can handle? What do we do when the circumstances are overwhelming us, and we feel like we are drowning in the chaos of our current realities?
