21 Powerful Psalms of Thanksgiving
/Some days you just need Psalms of thanksgiving more than others. The alarm sounds in the morning.
You wake up refreshed, renewed with joy and excitement to go take on the world. You sit down at the table with a cup of freshly brewed Italian roast coffee, your favorite breakfast, your journal, and your iPad Bible app.
You’re ready to dig into the Word and journal about your experience so your great grandkids will know what a Christian warrior you were!!
The drama begins
Then it happens. You see a news headline on Facebook. You only went there for a few seconds to check on comments, you didn’t go for “news.”
It was negative and kinda ticked you off. But, you shake it off and open your Bible and journal.
By the time you make it an hour into the work day, you have heard 4 negative stories on the radio driving to work, 3 co-workers confided in you they hate their job, 1 was even drafting her 2 weeks notice.
As a cherry on top your boss emailed that you needed to meet about a “mistake” you made on a current project.
Boy o boy if ever there was a day to have a few Psalms of thanksgiving memorized it would have been today.
Even though this is a made-up example, I’m sure we can all relate somehow, whether it’s at work, home, church, or in our neighborhood.
